My "to read" list

I really love it when my "to read" list get's this long...
this list does not even include all the classics I downloaded the other day thanks to the free books offered at Amazon.com
I can already tell the reading portion of the 50/50 challenge is going to be a piece of cake... the movie part I am probably going to struggle with. I've gotten so tired of movies that don't live up the hype that I've been put off watching movies...
Hopefully when Dark Shadows comes out Johnny Depp can help me rekindle the urge to watch movies.

5 months and counting: The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

I just discovered that J.K. Rowlings new adult novel
The Casual Vacancy will be out September 27th of this year. :)

"When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…. Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town’s council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations? Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults."

I can't wait! It'll be at the top of my "to read" list once it's released.
